Zach Kesler - apprentice in
Automotive Technician program

On November 16, 2000, Zach Kesler was registered with the US Department of Labor Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training. Zach liked his apprenticeship experience because it permitted him to work with journeyist mechanics throughout the learning process and benefit from those with skills perfected in the work place. He stated that along with being shown how to do the work, you also have an opportunity to participate in real hands-on work.

 

Zach Kesler at WorkAlong with his apprenticeship, Zach enrolled at Weber State University in the GM ASEP Program. Zach graduated in May 2002 with an associate's degree in Automotive Technology with a 3.95 GPA. Along with graduating, Zach received the GM Goodwrench Leadership Award from his Weber State University automotive instructors. Zach completed his four-year apprenticeship on June 10, 2002.

 

On top of Zach's education, he has also mentored other apprentices in preparing them for the future in the automotive industry.
