1) The Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training (BAT) serves as the registration agency for the approval of all registered apprenticeship programs that meet the standards and criteria of apprenticeship established by the US Secretary of Labor.

2) The Utah Registered Apprenticeship Steering Committee (RASC) is made up of partners from:

• Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training (BAT)
• Utah System of Higher Education (USHE)
• Utah State Office of Education (USOE)
• Utah Department of Workforce Services (DWS)
• Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL)
• Utah Labor Commission
• Utah Apprenticeship Related Instruction Advisory Team
• Utah Training Directors' Association
• Labor Organization
• Employer Association
• Plus ten (10) current apprenticeship sponsors that have registered apprenticeship programs. Each of the ten sponsors has an alternate member from their geographical area in the state to ensure statewide representation.

RASC is charged to: 1) guide BAT in the promotion of apprenticeship in traditional and non-traditional occupations and industries and 2) expand and improve apprenticeship access for all Utahans.

3) The Utah Registered Apprenticeship Steering Committee, Inc (INC) is non-profit corporation. The non-profit corporation is made up of apprenticeship program sponsors, employers, employer groups and labor organizations. INC is responsible for the collection and the expenditure of donations received from supporters of registered apprenticeship. The president, secretary /treasurer and the trustees review and approve all requests to fund projects proposed by RASC.
